Adding Simple and Powerful Automation to Every Residence
We’ve discussed the merits of Crestron home automation systems at length in the past. Crestron is the company that is practically synonymous with automation in both the residential and commercial spaces. For some smaller residential applications, Crestron solutions had the reputation of being complex to integrate, as the system had many options.
Several months ago, Crestron introduced OS 3, a redesigned automation system aimed at making a home automation system easier for a homeowner to use and for integrators like GHT Group to install. In truth, OS 3 was not radically new; it was an evolution and improvement over the Pyng system that they had introduced a few years earlier that added many modern features to Crestron automation.
It’s important to understand Crestron’s approach to home automation. They are a company that designs and tests all their own equipment and software, not merely designing equipment that is manufactured offshore. When it comes to the software, the ability to control a home remotely through the internet also means being able to do it with the utmost security and privacy.
If you have multiple homes, like your primary residence in Brookhaven and a cabin in Blue Ridge in the Georgia mountains, Crestron OS 3 is an ideal solution for managing your homes securely. Read on to learn more.

Get to Know Crestron’s New TSR-310 and HR-310 Remotes
Right now, many of us are hyper-focused on our home entertainment and automation systems since some of us aren’t venturing far beyond our property. Isn’t now the right time to optimize your automation and AV controls? Though hands-free control has grown more popular as we deal with the new coronavirus, sometimes nothing replaces the familiar control we get with a traditional remote control. Remote controls allow the tactile controls you’re used to, while backlighting features let you see how you’re navigating your remote, even if you’re watching in the dark.
Crestron released its TSR-310 and HR-310 remotes back in 2018, but Crestron home automation users enjoy their capabilities to this day. Click on our original blog post to learn more, and keep reading to learn some details about both remotes.

Who Says A Hi-Fi Stereo System Has To Be Cost Prohibitive?
Even in 2020, decades after high-end names like Klipsch started producing speakers, we’ve associated the best audio with the most exorbitant price tags. While there is some truth to the statement, “You get what you pay for,” that doesn’t mean that spending more is always the way to go. Klipsch’s new RP-600M bookshelf speakers deliver without breaking the bank.
In fact, RP-600M costs about 10% of what the mid-level Heritage Cornwall model sells for. Klipsch wants every owner of their speakers to be proud of their purchase, which shows in the way these bookshelf speakers look and sound.

Here Are Two Options to Get Your Creative Juices Flowing
Some say this is the golden age of audio, and we think they’re right. We cannot think of another time when there were so many options to choose from for great sound. It doesn’t matter whether you’re into the ease of wireless speakers like Sonos or the legendary quality of McIntosh equipment; there is excellent audio quality to be had at every end of the price spectrum.
We've had several blogs featuring various high-end audio products from Klipsch and MartinLogan speakers to turntables and amplifiers. In this blog, we wanted to highlight a couple of options that deliver the sound quality that any Atlanta audio enthusiast could applaud at two ends of the budget spectrum. As we're talking about hi-fi audio here, budget does not mean inexpensive. As any enthusiast knows, truly great sound does not come cheap.
Of course, these are but two options to get you thinking about your high-end audio upgrade; GHT Group has many others. But these two can start the creative juices flowing!

Comparing Two Options from the Pioneer in Lighting Control Solutions
Lighting control is one of the most sought-after smart home solutions today. The reasons are straightforward; lighting control and automation saves money, is energy efficient, and makes your home more convenient and beautiful.
While several home automation companies offer lighting control products and solutions, no company has a singular focus on it like Lutron. The company invented the solid-state dimmer in the 1950s, and since then has continued innovating in lighting control and management in both the residential and commercial markets.
As you might expect from a company focused on lighting control, Lutron makes several solutions. We have featured Lutron’s Caseta system before, a wireless system that serves as an entry point into the world of lighting control, and is best suited for smaller homes and condominiums that range up to 2,500 square feet. In this blog, we're going to focus on Lutron's higher-end solutions – RadioRA 2 and HomeWorks QS, targeted toward larger and more extensive properties.
Which Lutron lighting control system is the right choice for your Johns Creek, GA home? Read on to learn more.

Sony Has the Perfect Way to Watch Netflix
Netflix is one of those internet institutions that is now ingrained in popular culture, and not just in the U.S. Younger viewers may not even realize that the company started as the internet alternative to Blockbuster video rentals, shipping physical discs conveniently to your home and doing away with the dreaded late fees.
These days, of course, Netflix is the 800-pound gorilla of internet video streaming, with a seemingly endless array of titles to watch. Moreover, they have become a force in Hollywood, financing many original movies and shows that can be viewed by audiences more massive than ever before, and garnering multiple Golden Globe and Oscar wins.
If you have a media room or home theater installation in your Atlanta, GA home, chances are you have a few Netflix favorites. It doesn’t hurt that Netflix has also been ahead of the curve in adopting the most advanced audio and video technologies in their original content like 4K, Dolby Atmos surround sound, and Dolby Vision that make great use of the latest AV equipment. And if you love Netflix, you'll love it even more with the newest feature Sony includes in its latest TVs and projectors. Read on to learn more.

You might be very familiar with indoor audio, having been purchasing stereo and multichannel audio systems for years. You might even be familiar with the nuances of different electronic components and speaker designs. But what happens when you want to take your music outside?
Outdoor spaces can present different challenges. Rather than a room with four walls, your outside area might contain a hardscape patio, grassy lawns, gardens, or many trees. How does this affect how your music will sound outdoors?
If you’re looking for an outdoor sound system for your Johns Creek, GA home, and you like high-fidelity sound, keep reading for some key things to consider.

Upgrade Your Home Theater to 4K With Sony Projectors
In 2020, some would say that 8K (and the even higher-K televisions and projectors to come) are the end-all solution for pristine picture, high resolution, and dazzling color. However, 4K still has a well-deserved place in Georgia home theaters and media rooms. Just as 4K TVs started appearing in more homes, and 4K-enabled content cropped up everywhere, the 8K displays seemed to steal the show. But looks can be deceiving: 4K displays are still flying out of stores en masse, partly due to their now-competitive pricing. Also, 4K projectors, like the one we will discuss today, are still impressive and relevant.
In fact, this blog was originally posted last year, and plenty of our customers still flock to this model today. See the 2019 blog post here!
Whether you’re building your new home theater here in the Metro Atlanta area or you’re ready to update your existing one, one of your top priorities always is going to be achieving the best picture quality possible.
With more and more 4K Ultra HD content becoming available, from movies to video games and more, you need a home theater projector that can deliver that high-resolution image quality that brings the action to life. That’s why we at GHT Group recommend Sony projectors for home theaters in Alpharetta and beyond.
In this blog, we are going to highlight one of our favorite Sony projectors; one we have on display in our Marietta showroom: the VPL-VW695ES 4K SXRD projector.
What do you need to know about the VPL-VW695ES, and why do we recommend it for local custom home theater installations? Find out below.

Hear the Latest Edition of this Classic at Atlanta’s Exclusive Klipsch Heritage Dealer
Working out of a tiny shed in Hope, Arkansas, Paul Klipsch’s creativity and artistry helped him design a speaker that set an entirely new standard for music reproduction in the home. Now, over 70 years later, many of his original designs are still highly sought after by music lovers, while the company he founded has grown to be one of the largest speaker companies on the planet.
Speakers are not like automobiles or smartphones – a new model doesn’t emerge every year. With some exceptions in the realm of wireless and powered speakers, digital technology isn’t driving significant change as it does in cars and mobile devices. As you can see from this blog, which was originally written last year, updated speaker releases aren’t just a passing trend: They truly stand the test of time.
See the Original Post Here!
When it comes to the high end of the speaker spectrum, change comes even more slowly. Most hi-fi speaker manufacturers have a house sound that is a result of unique design approaches to audio transducers. As a result, manufacturers prefer evolution rather than revolution, and it’s a reason that an investment in a quality speaker can last you for decades.
So it is with Klipsch and their Heritage line of speakers. Heritage speakers hew closely to Klipsch design traditions but are updated with evolution in speaker material, electronics, and design. The Klipschorn is an excellent example; it’s the only speaker that has been in continuous production for over 70 years.
This month, as Atlanta’s exclusive Klipsch Heritage dealer, we’re excited to tell you about a new edition of Klipsch speaker – the Cornwall IV. What’s new, or should we say, evolved? Read on below to find out. And after that, come to our Marietta showroom to hear it in person.

How to Get That Concert Sound in your Home Audio System
At the height of the COVID-19 outbreak in March of 2020, many highly populated events have been canceled. Unfortunately, this includes both indoor and outdoor live music gatherings around the country. Though many of you will stay home for weeks and wait this out, GHT Group doesn’t want you to feel deprived of the music you love.
Check out this blog we originally wrote two years ago to learn more about our favorite speaker line, the Klipsch Heritage Speaker series. Though we first posted this content in 2018, we still highly recommend these speakers. We know you’ll enjoy the vintage look, classic horn technology and improved functionality: Keep reading to learn more.

Do you want to replicate the feeling of experiencing live music? Do you like to frequent venues like the Terminal West, Variety Playhouse, Tabernacle or the Coca-Cola Roxy? Do you like the way you can feel the music in those places, experiencing it in a way that is difficult to reproduce at home?
The volume, the dynamics, and the raw, unvarnished nature of the performance – after all it is live – make for memorable experiences. If you prize that feeling, there indeed are home audio systems that can approximate that experience for you at your home in the Atlanta area. But some can do it better than others.
GHT Group recently partnered with Klipsch, one of the world’s largest speaker manufacturers, to bring their classic Heritage Series to the Metro Atlanta area. The Heritage line harkens back to the days when founder Paul Klipsch designed all the speakers himself, and they were built by hand.

Enjoy the Ultimate Outdoor TV Installation At Your Home This Spring
Early 2020 has proven a confusing time. Threats of the COVID-19 virus has kept many of us inside our homes. On the flip side, spring is finally here, and our thoughts are turning to warmer weather and outside activities; for many of us, the end of the cold season is the one light at the end of the tunnel. Why not take advantage of the warmer weather and avoid cabin fever by transferring your entertainment outdoors?
Since we are blessed with a relatively mild climate in the Metro Atlanta area, we get to use our outdoor patios, yards, and pools much more than our neighbors to the north. And because of that, we can plan more activities outdoors. But sometimes, our indoor entertainment beckons us to stay inside -- but it doesn't have to be that way.
Check out our original post about this Stealth Acoustics line here.
We have no solution for the sports events cancellations at the moment, but we do have an answer for taking your entertainment outside. Why not outfit your Buckhead-area patio with an outdoor TV installation? You can watch your favorite TV shows this spring on your patio this spring. You can stream any artist you choose and enjoy music and wine outdoors on balmy summer evenings. And of course, you can do fun summer movie nights with family and friends.
We’re not talking about just any outdoor TV installation here. We’re talking about the next level in complete outdoor audio-visual entertainment – the Stealth Acoustics Patio Theater. Though we originally drafted most of this content a year ago, our recommendation for this entertainment suite still stands.
What is the Stealth Acoustics Patio Theater? Just keep reading to learn more.
