RadioRA 3 is a far more modern version of RadioRA 2. It uses a newer, more powerful processor that runs more sophisticated software for rapid setup and programming of your lighting control system. What’s more, the new, small processor can mount anywhere you can route an ethernet network cable. It communicates and gets power from that cable, making the processor easier to mount in any location that best suits the RF communications in the system.

Lutron continues to use its proprietary Clear Connect RF to communicate with control keypads as it’s a proven, rock-solid solution that doesn’t depend on Wi-Fi or other potentially congested networks in the home.

You might ask – what does easier installation mean for you? It means your lighting control system will be up and running faster, need less or no servicing, and ultimately cost you less.

Easier Integration

While Lutron systems have always played well with other systems, they didn’t have a completely standardized way of providing that integration with other cloud-connected systems. The Lutron LEAP API changes that, allowing for easier integration with a host of other smart technology solutions, from voice solutions like Amazon Alexa and Josh.ai to smart home systems like Crestron and Control4. And if you already have a previous RadioRA 2 system, RadioRA 3 is backward compatible with most RadioRA 2 devices to protect your investment.

The new Decora-style Lutron keypads provide elegant, customized control of all types of lighting loads. The new light bar design glows softly in the dark to make light controls easier to find. The keypads, available in a rich palette of 25 colors, offer customization with icons or text. The upgraded Lutron app offers sophisticated lighting control and easy programming or changing of custom lighting scenes. Programmed scenes on the app can manage things like outside lights all year long without any adjustments.
