GHT Group's growth into Birmingham has been strategic, stemming from opportunities rather than massive external funding. We're excited to share how we've brought over three decades of our professional service from Atlanta to Florida and now Alabama.

AVX Joins the GHT Group

The journey into Birmingham began with AVX (Audio-Video Excellence), a local company with a strong foothold in commercial and residential integration. As GHT Group catered to a growing client base in Florida's Emerald Coast, the acquisition of AVX's Florida operations in 2021 seemed a natural progression. This expansion provided us with the essential resources to serve our clients more effectively in this region.

This year, another opportunity arose to strengthen our presence in Birmingham. We established a local showroom and committed staff to provide the exemplary service that our Atlanta clients have come to expect for the past 35 years. When AVX decided to shift their focus away from residential services in Birmingham, we stepped in, integrating their staff and clients into our fold. At the same time, AVX continues serving the commercial sector. Our expansions into Birmingham and the Florida 30A area are not just satellite offices; they are a fully integral part of the GHT family, reflecting our unwavering commitment to residential projects in these areas. Recently, we hosted a holiday gathering for the entire company at our Atlanta home base, reinforcing the family aspect that is a hallmark of our culture. 

Looking Ahead: Integrating and Growing

Our expansions are not simply geographical. They represent a growing, interconnected GHT Group family. Post-acquisition, we've welcomed 17 new Birmingham team members, ensuring they're woven into our company fabric through comprehensive training and work on projects across all our geographic areas. 

Our brand-new Birmingham showroom is now ready, designed to demonstrate the breadth of our expertise in home theater, audio, lighting, and automation.
