Focal and Naim: Celebrating 10 Years of Exceptional Audio Performance Focal and Naim: Celebrating 10 Years of Exceptional Audio Performance

The Focal-Naim 10th Anniversary Edition Brings Incomparable Aural Style to Home Speakers

Focal is an audio company that marches to its own tune (pun intended). The 40-year-old Saint Étienne, France-based company carries an influence in the audio world that goes far beyond the company’s size. First, most of their products are built in France in an era where audio equipment is usually designed in one country but manufactured in the far east. They also develop their own machines for manufacturing and handbuild 80% of the cones for their speakers.

Ten years ago, Focal joined forces with Naim, a British boutique audio brand known for its excellence in audio engineering. To celebrate this “tin” anniversary, they’ve put together a Focal home speaker system powered by Naim components featuring a unique style. Read more about it below, and see how this new system could be the visual and aural centerpiece of your Marietta, GA, listening room.

Despite the undeniable design and quality appearance of the company's freestanding speakers, Focal also understands some like the discrete nature of speakers that disappear into walls and ceilings. So what do you miss with Focal speakers that you don't see? The beautiful finishes, to be sure, but you'll never miss the exceptional sound. Keep reading below to learn more about the Focal 1000 Series, an elevated listening experience for both two-channel and surround sound systems in your Marietta, GA, home.

Hear What You’ve Been Missing with McIntosh Amplifiers Hear What You’ve Been Missing with McIntosh Amplifiers

There’s No Substitute for Power

In the automotive world, the old adage goes, "There's no substitute for horsepower." Indeed, if you want a car to go fast, you need an engine that delivers the beans. Fat tires, spoilers, and racy styling do nothing for speed, but an engine that delivers power to the wheels does.

But can you have too much power? In cars, perhaps, but power is good if used judiciously. After all, Dodge seems to sell all the 800 horsepower Hellcats it can make. Does anyone need 800 horsepower? No, but it sure is fun.

In high-performance audio, power is good too. With high-end speakers, the more power they are fed, the better they tend to sound. In fact, many speakers don’t sound their best unless they are supplied with copious amounts of power. That’s when you start hearing things in familiar recordings that you’ve never heard before. And it’s because the amplifier is wringing every last detail from your music.

McIntosh is an audio company that needs no introduction to hi-fi enthusiasts. The company recently celebrated its 70th anniversary, and while today it offers a full array of high-end components, nothing has cemented its reputation more than its beefy, iconic amplifiers.

Where can you find McIntosh amplifiers? GHT Group is proud to be a McIntosh dealer serving Cumming, GA and the metro Atlanta area. Keep reading below about two of our favorite McIntosh amplifiers to bring the power to your system.

Discover the Focal Audio Difference

GHT Group is big on high-performance audio, as evidenced by some of the brands we carry – McIntosh, Klipsch Heritage, and Monitor Audio, to name a few. We're always on the lookout to offer more for our audio enthusiast clients, and we're proud to introduce our latest brand partner – Focal.

For some well-versed in high-fidelity audio, Focal needs no introduction. But others may not think of Focal when thinking about high-end audio. Focal has been making unique speakers and audio equipment since 1979, adding their distinctive design principles to home, pro, and automobile audio. The company is proud of its French heritage that shows in the stylish appearance of its products. In a world where many audio products are designed in the origin country but manufactured overseas, Focal still assembles their high-end audio products in France.

McIntosh Expertly Blends Analog and Digital Audio Technology with this Versatile Preamp

Note: We drafted this wildly popular blog last year and generated a lot of curiosity about this McIntosh preamplifier. Now that you’re at home, and you rely on home audio and entertainment for your lifestyle, it’s time to take a second look at the McIntosh C2700.

Many would describe the McIntosh lineup as “iconic,” largely due to its glossy design, vintage logo and time-tested sound quality. Not to mention, they have built a sonic legacy since they started in 1949 and have continued to develop their product offerings since. Fast-forward to the 2020s, and McIntosh keeps making audio technology that never fails to seem modern. That’s why the brand is still a trusted source for speakers, amps, receivers and preamps alike. Keep reading to learn more details about their C2700 preamplifier and the specific features you’ll appreciate for many years.

Another Great Speaker Brand Joins the Fold

The British seem to have a way with hi-fi audio. Brands like Bowers & Wilkins, KEF, Meridian, NAD, Linn, and others are renowned for engineering and craftsmanship in the field of audio reproduction. Another brand that sometimes doesn’t get as much mention - but should - is Monitor Audio.

For over 40 years, Monitor Audio has been building a complete range of speakers for home audio, which today encompasses 16 product ranges from custom install to high-end home theater speakers. Like most British audio makers, they have their unique slice of expertise that they apply to their speaker designs.

Monitor Audio is one of the world's foremost experts in crafting speaker drivers from metal, which is not the easiest material to fashion into an audio transducer. For example, the RDT (Rigid Diaphragm Technology) in the Platinum speaker cones is made from ceramic-coated aluminum/magnesium in the front skin, with carbon fiber in the back. This high-tech combination of materials results in a speaker that responds to transitions quickly with ultra-low distortions, which all translates to better sound.

Georgia Home Theater is proud to be one of Monitor Audio’s select dealers in the Atlanta area, adding to our extensive collection of high-end speakers for hi-fi and home theater. Read on to learn more about the unique aspects of Monitor Audio speakers.

Introducing the Newest Klipsch Heritage Speaker: The Forte IV Introducing the Newest Klipsch Heritage Speaker: The Forte IV

Is this the Goldilocks Klipsch Speaker?

The Klipsch Heritage line of speakers has always been about putting all of the company's audio know-how and experience into producing exemplary speakers. A Heritage speaker might be the last one someone buys; they can last for generations and often get passed on to the next.

Klipsch Heritage speakers are the ones that hew closest to founder Paul Klipsch’s vision of reproducing the live sound of the orchestra inside the home. They’ve always been engineered to bring the emotion of the music into your living or listening room.

High-end speakers don’t get updated every year like your smartphone operating system. HiFi speakers are mostly analog components, using the tuning and acoustic know-how of decades of experience in speaker design. However, Klipsch has been on a roll with updates to their best speakers, the latest of which is the Forte IV. Sitting in the middle of the lineup and sporting a room-friendly size, is this the “just right” Klipsch Heritage speaker for your Woodstock, GA home? Keep reading to find out.
