QLED Goes Outdoors

If you follow TV technology at all, you might know about QLED, which stands for quantum dot LED. Without going into the weeds on the technology, Samsung has pioneered and devoted significant resources to advancing QLED as an alternative to OLED for the best picture quality. One of the main advantages of QLED over other display technologies is its ability to display a wide color gamut, even superior to OLED when implemented at the highest quality levels. And QLED panels can achieve excellent brightness levels under various lighting conditions.

The Terrace TV comes with a built-in HBase-T receiver, which creates a simple way to feed content from a media distribution system. Of course, it is also a Smart TV with Wi-Fi, so it stands alone with access to broadcast TV and all the popular streaming applications through Samsung’s intuitive Tizen TV operating system. Built-in Bluetooth connectivity lets your pipe the sound through another speaker for heftier sound or to keep up with the game audio when you're away from the set. The TV also has convenient screen mirroring capability through Apple Airplay and for Android devices so you can cast practically any video from your smartphone or tablet to the Terrace TV.

Rounding out the control options, an IP56 rated water and dust resistant remote controls the TV, and also gives you a microphone to access Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Samsung’s Bixby for smart home voice control and content searches.
